15th Anniversary Celebration
The Terrible Adult Chamber Orchestra (TACO) celebrates its 15th anniversary with a special tribute to the late internationally renowned local composer woman Nancy Bloomer Deussen on March 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the De Anza College Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC) in Cupertino.
The event will feature the world premiere of Shoreline to Skyline, Deussen’s final orchestral work, commissioned specifically for TACO. Also premiering is the film Silence to Sound, offering an intimate look into Deussen’s creative process and the landscapes that inspired her music. Local environmental groups, including MidPeninsula Open Space, Green Foothills, and NASA, will be on-site to share information about these landscapes.
There will also be guest performances of Deussen’s selected chamber works, as well as the Central Coast Piano Concerto, performed by New York pianist Ron Levy and conducted by Maestro Anthony Quartuccio. A reception will follow the concert.
Join us in honoring Nancy’s music and the incredible community TACO has fostered over the past 15 years.
