15th Anniversary Celebration

The Terrible Adult Chamber Orchestra (TACO) celebrates its 15th anniversary with a special tribute to the late, internationally renowned local woman composer Nancy Bloomer Deussen on March 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Spangenberg Theatre in Palo Alto. The event will feature the world premiere of Deussen’s final orchestral work, Shoreline to Skyline, commissioned specifically for TACO.

Shoreline to Skyline is a deeply personal and breathtaking tribute to the local landscapes that inspired Nancy, from the serene shoreline to the sweeping views of the foothills. Completed just months before her passing in 2019, this work was delayed by the pandemic, and we are honored to finally present it to our community.

In addition to the premiere, the event will include a short documentary and storytelling about the composer’s work and her creative process, with guest musicians performing other selections from her body of work. A reception will follow the performance.
